Welcome to the Indiana Student Financial Aid Association (ISFAA)

Hello ISFAA members,

It is a privilege to welcome you to another year with ISFAA and an honor to serve as your President for the 2026–2027 year.

If there is one thing those of us in financial aid know well, it is change. New regulations, new processes, new technology, new challenges, and new opportunities are constantly shaping the work we do. One thing that hasn’t changed is that our work has always centered on helping students pursue opportunities through education. That mission matters deeply, but doing this work well also requires us to invest in the people who make it possible.

That means creating opportunities to sharpen our technical knowledge and dig deeply into the issues affecting financial aid. It means helping one another make sense of changes in our profession and learning from colleagues across Indiana. But it also means recognizing that professional development isn't only about knowing more. Sometimes we need an opportunity to reconnect. To recharge. To take care of ourselves. To remember why we chose this profession in the first place. That is the kind of association I hope ISFAA continues to be this year.

We also have great momentum to build on. This year, we’ll continue offering NASFAA credential training opportunities, Directors Day, our Support Staff Workshop, and, of course, our Annual Conference. Along the way, you can expect even more opportunities to connect with one another, deepen your knowledge, share ideas, and grow together as a profession. I’m excited about what’s ahead and hope you’ll take advantage of all that ISFAA has to offer.

Throughout the year, I hope you will find opportunities within ISFAA to learn, lead, connect, contribute, and grow. ISFAA is strongest when our members are part of shaping it. Whether that means volunteering for the first time, sharing your expertise, attending an event, mentoring a colleague, asking a question, or simply introducing yourself to someone new, there is a place for you here. Whether you are just beginning your financial aid career or have spent decades serving students, you belong in this community.

I am grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside you, and I look forward to seeing where this year takes us.

With gratitude,

Lauren Greider
ISFAA President 2026–2027

The Indiana Student Financial Aid Association (ISFAA) is Indiana’s financial aid professional organization. We are an association of college and university financial aid administrators, lenders, guarantors, and other associated organizations and individuals interested in helping students meet their costs for higher education.

ISFAA serves the needs of students, institutions of higher education, government agencies, and private funding sources through community outreach, coordination and development of programs for student financial aid. To accomplish this purpose, ISFAA promotes the professional preparation, effectiveness and recognition of all those concerned with the administration of student financial aid. In addition, ISFAA assists with communications between institutions of post-secondary education and sponsors of student financial aid to encourage best practices.

The Association serves as the state forum and acts as the focus for the expression of views on matters relating to the development, funding, and administration of student financial aid at the state, regional, and national levels. The primary intent of the ISFAA website is to serve the members of the association, although we eagerly want to help all who are interested in information about financial aid availability and attempt to do so through the resources and links herein.
